From “bruksanda” to Ambition

Borlänge is Dalarnas youngest city and is just over 60 years old. But the site dates back to the Iron Age. Today, Borlänge has 47,000 residents and is a meeting place, in terms of business for both the future and the past.

In Borlänge is a mix of old and new. From Jussi Björling to Mando Diao. Old handicraft knowledge and industrial tradition meets new technologies. From iron factories to college and high technology. Mature built-up areas are mixed with modern architecture. From Ornässtugan (Museum) to Futuristic valleys. We are proud of our heritage, which brought us to where we are today. Some call it bruksanda (conservative spirit).

We call it ambition.
