Båstad is the largest urban area in Bjärehalvön and known for the Swedish Open in tennis and Båstad Tennis Stadium, which is the main outdoor tennis facility. It can seat approximately 6,000 spectators and when the matches begin, Båstad bursts with life. For the little younger players, there is the famous tournament called the "Kalle Anka Cup."

When you tour Båstad, don't miss a visit to Norrvikens Trädgårdar (Gardens), with its endless beauty. It is located along the Hallandsås slope. Just above the Kattegatt cliff beaches, the rippling streams from the Scanian Forest and the renaissance gardens offer breathless views.

Silversmith Ole K Bydal

With form experimentation and 19 years of experience, many different and beautiful silver objects have been created by the silversmith, located at Tallvägen 3. Baptism spoons, saltcellar, cutlery, rings, butter knives, silver cars, snuff boxes, necklaces, wedding rings, silverware and much more. Ole K Bydal is a certified journeyman in silver, as well as education from Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design). He operates an exhibitions at various museums and galleries. Inspiration is found in technique, toys, arts and in Båstads beautiful coast. Then, ideas developed and he began slowly and carefully forging unique silver items. Please visit and see how the fine old crafts are performed and how it can result in new forms and objects. Ole K Bydal gives an orientation on the craft and its background and offers courses in his studio (evenings, weekends and daily courses are available) Here, you can try to make your own jewelry and small objects in a professional environment. Shorter courses are also avialable. Bring your friends for a silver evening, or why not have shower or bachelor party in this beautiful silver environment. Call or email for booking. Skottorps Stoneware

Our profession is pottery. The brothers, Åke and Anders Walldén, have shaped clay in Skottorp since the late sixties and probably put Skottorp on the map because many people appreciate the craft. Today, the "Brothers Skottorp" is a commonly used expression. Thier interest began when their parents had a summer shop with Swedish crafts. In the beginning, there was only a home-built potters wheels and a small oven. After a period of experimentation and failures, serious production began in 1970. In the early years, crafts were sold to other craft stores. In 1983, interest grew so the current workshop was built, which over the years developed into a modern pottery. The stoneware is only available in Skottorp. Most of the production common items with simple designs and the highest quality. There are differences in form and glaze, because the potters hands make the difference between it being a craft or an industrial product. Our growing number of visitors appreciate the opportunity to follow the production from clay to finished articles. Welcome to Skottorp from Åke and Anders Walldén.
