The seaside city of Varberg with Varberg's Fortress which is a landmark medieval castle, offers you a wide variety of activities.

Here you can shop in the bustling market square every Wednesday and Saturday, or visit the Bockstensmannen (Bocksten Man, medieval remains) at the fortress. Enjoy the sandy beach at Apelviken, the cliff beach at Getterön or the world famous nudist beaches. Here you can sit on the Societetshusets (The Society House) veranda and enjoy good food, music and the local life. Varberg also has a long tradition as a health resort, and the tradition lives on at a couple of health resort hotels in the area.
