As a tourist in Åstorp, you can enjoy our beautiful nature. Why not enjoy the wonder view from Björnekulla klint? We also have beautiful churches and a castle in Tomarp which are well worth a visit. Then, let the kids have fun at Dinoland, where they can see life-size dinosaurs.

Don't miss our two museums, Gyllenbielkeska Hospital and Nyvångs Mining Museum. You can see the old hospital's history and learn more about the mining work in the coal mines. Also, try visiting Spettkaksbageriet, where you can see the traditional Scanian way of making spettekakor (skewer cakes.)

Dinoland, Nyvång

See life-size dinosaurs! There are 32 dinosaurs along the prehistoric trail. The largest weigh up to 20 tons! For the smaller children, there is a mini zoo and a fairy tale land with rides.

Fishing

There are many places to fish for salmon, trout, perch and rainbow trout In Åstorps Municipality. Try your luck at Hyllingedammen (Dam) and at Rönne River.

Museum

Nyvångs Mining Museum

At Nyvångs Mining Museum, you can see the memories from Sweden's largest coal mine which operated from the early 1900s until 1966. The museum is located in the former Machine Hall.

The Gyllenbielkeska Hospital, Kvidinge

The Gyllenbielkeska Hospital was an old retirement home from the beginning in 1729 and up until 1949. Today, you can still see the original furnishings and decorations.
The upper floor of the hospital is now a school museum exhibiting various interiors from the era.

Björnekulla Klint

Björnekulla Klint is a lookout point located at the beginning of Söderåsens Ridge. There is also a walking trail and on a clear day you can see Kullaberg Mountain.

Perslunds Hembygdsgård (Heritage House)

Perslunds Hembygdsgård is from the 1800s. The quadrangled shaped farm offers museum collections. Around the museum, you can visit the small zoo, see a windmill from the 1800s, and a graveyard from the Iron Age.

Here you can see how old-fashioned skewer cakes are made.

Tomarp Castle, Kvidinge

Visit the castle that has stood here since the 1300s and was expanded several times during the 1400's. Today, the art gallery exhibits works from Sweden and abroad. Then, take a relaxing walk in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy all the artworks which are placed in the park.
