Gamla Uppsala Museum
Gamla (Historical) Uppsala is one of Scandinavia's most remarkable areas for ancient remains. Visit Gamla Uppsala Museum and take part in the myths which have been told over the centuries. The main exhibition displays the discoveries from three majestic royal mounds known as The King's Hills and tells about the ancient kings, Viking sacrifices, pagan gods and the bellicose Iron Age. Go on a journey over the sea of time, back 1,500 years to the pagan monarchy, via the Viking Age's religious times of unrest to the building of the cathedral during the 1100's. The home of professor Carl von Linné, a culture historic pearl situated in Linnéträdgården. Linnés home is a museum today and exhibits the world known botanists scientific accomplishments via exhibitions in the library, writing chamber and private collection. Museum Gustavianum, Uppsala University Museum
Uppsala Universities oldest building containing Olof Rudbecks Anatomical Theater and the Augsburgska Art Cabinet. The universities history is told through scientists such as Rudbeck, Celsius and Linné. The museum exhibits even ancient treasures from Egypt, Greece and Rome. The Linnaeus Garden
Inside the gates of Svarbäcksgatan is Linnés own botanical garden. The plants are divided into annual and perennial plants and also in order by classes after Linnés sexual system. In addition, approximately 1300 different varieties are cultivated in the educational garden by Olof Rudbeck in 1655. A café and restaurant can also be found in the garden. Gamla Uppsala
Gamla Uppsala is one of Scandinavia's most remarkable ancient areas. You will find the three royal mounds from the 500's, one of Scandinavia's largest ancient burial grounds and the remains from the cathedral built during the 1100's. The place has a rich mythical history.
Grönsöö Palace
The palace is one of the countries few organic and inhabited cultural environments with a cohesive inventory of furniture and art objects. The park has one of Sweden's most unique park histories. Linnés Hammarby (Estate)

Söderfors Ironworks
Constructed in 1676 by C. Depken. In 1748, the ironworks was bought by Claes Grill, who gave Söderfors its present appearance. For more than 200 years, anchors and bar iron were made here. Today's products are high-speed and Damascus steel. www.vallonbruken.nu/soderfors
